About
Welcome to Legs Inn, a captivating culinary haven nestled in the scenic town of Cross Village, Michigan. Located at 6425 N Lake Shore Dr, this enchanting establishment boasts picturesque views of Lake Michigan, making it a perfect spot for a delightful dining experience.
As a food reviewer at Foodjoyy, I can confidently say that Legs Inn is a treasure trove of flavors, with a particular focus on traditional Polish cuisine. Stepping inside, you are greeted by an eclectic decor that merges rustic charm with a warm ambiance. The interior features unique driftwood accents and comfortable seating that invites you to sit back and savor each moment.
The menu here celebrates rich Polish traditions, highlighted by customer favorites such as perogies and golobki, which many patrons proclaim to be the best in town. One of the standout dishes is the Skillagalee Chicken Caesar, a fresh and vibrant entree that brings together charbroiled chicken, romaine lettuce, and tangy Caesar dressing, all for just $15.49. But that's not all; the Waugoshance salad, featuring locally caught smoked Great Lakes whitefish, provides a refreshing juxtaposition of flavors, tossed with mixed greens and a housemade lemon sesame vinaigrette, priced at $16.99.
The beverage selection is equally tempting. Enjoy complimentary refills on a range of coffees, teas, and sodas, or sip on delightful options like berghoff root beer or soothing herbal tea. For those seeking something a bit more indulgent, the wine list, including Los Monteros sparkling wine from Catalonia, Spain, perfectly complements the menu.
What truly sets Legs Inn apart is the community vibe. Customers rave about the friendly service and welcoming atmosphere, where conversations flow just as freely as the Polish beer from the bar. The outdoor seating, with sweeping views of the lake, offers an idyllic setting to enjoy your meal—making it more than just dining; it’s an experience to embrace.
While modest waits may occur, the culinary journey at Legs Inn is undoubtedly worth it. As one satisfied diner remarked, “A small part of Polska exists here,” echoing the sentiment of many who cherish the authentic flavors and warm hospitality on offer. So whether you’re reveling in the garden seating or exploring the unique interior, prepare for a memorable meal at this Cross Village gem.
“ Great Polish restaurant! Highly recommend the peroggis ! Non polish food available such as white fish. Vegetarian options, easy parking, outdoor seating with a view of lake Michigan, beautiful grounds ”
“ I love this place. It's a local treasure. My Busia was Polish and they have the best golobki in town. We had to wait for a table because they were so busy, but we didn't mind because the decor is so eclectic, the Polish beer flows from the bar, and the clientele and staff are sociable and welcoming. I can't recommend this establishment more highly. The history and culture of the place, combined with the amazing views and wonderful food all provide a unique and heart-warming experience. ”
“ Had a great time at Legs Inn. The service was outstanding as our server, Martina made the whole experience fantastic! The only negative was the wait was just over 2 hours so we wished we brought a deck of cards to pass the time. Glad we came, just know you’re going to have a long wait. ”
“ I rated this high because the environment has something for all. Garden seating which has amazing Lake Michigan views from a bluff. The interior seating includes the most eccentric, yet beautiful wood and driftwood that I have ever seen. The food is mostly polish, but the have typical area food too, such as Whitefish dip, etc. They have quite a bar selection and many specialty polish meads, wines/Meads, and liquors. I would not miss this gem in the tiny town of Cross Village, Michigan after driving the scenic "Tunnel of Trees" on M 119. ”
“ My family and friends have been coming to the Leggs Inn for decades. Absolutely a gem in Northern MI, worth the wait if you want to experience real Polish cuisine. A small part of Polska exists here. The occasional Karen's and idiots will always complain about little things that exist in any establishment. Ignore their hot air. Enjoy it for yourself. ”
“ If you’re in northern Michigan and enjoy polish food, this place is a MUST! Highly recommend the taste of Poland and some zurek soup. ”
“ If you have never been to Legs Inn, their restaurant is a must do if you are traveling Northern Michigan. The journey through the Tunnel of Trees follows great vista of Lake Michigan. The restaurant will never disappoint. The food and beverage is wonderful, the facility is fascinating, the history is intriguing, and the staff is super courteous and friendly. You will be amazed in finding this quality of food off the "beaten path". If you've been there before, you will keep returning and bringing more friends with you. Wonderful! ”
